Whilst differing programs within Break Thru may have additional eligibility criteria relating to the specific services being offered, there are four core requirements for eligibility.

Do you have a diagnosed Mental Illness?
All clients must have a mental illness or disorder, as defined by the Mental Health Act, and a significant associated disability.

Where are you located?
All clients must be living in, or have significant links to the Hume, Brimbank, Maribymong or Melton local government areas. Whilst clients are required to live within our defined catchment, Break Thru is mindful however, that clients may move out of the region and require support until engagement with their local service provider is successfully achieved, and/or clients currently out of the region with significant links to the catchment may be seeking to return.

What is your age?
New clients must be aged between 16-64 years of age, however Break Thru will continue to provide services to clients aged 65 and over if it is deemed the most appropriate service to meet their needs.

Will you consent?
All new clients must be willing to actively participate in the program. Break Thru is a voluntary service and therefore client consent is required to process a referral.
