Community Partnerships

Break Thru works cooperatively with a range of community organisations at all levels to improve the lives of our candidates through innovative and solutions focused wrap around programmes.

Our person-centred approach to supporting candidates engages with expert organisations across vocational, social and personal issues to provide best practice support and empower the people to achieve their goals and develop the capacity of their communities.

Break Thru has established partnerships with an extensive network of organisations in areas such as mental health, Indigenous servicing, youth, housing, refugee and migrant support and disability.

Partners

HeadspaceAs a consortium member across eight Headspace sites in NSW and Victoria, Break Thru provides support to young people in vocational mentoring, pre vocational skills development, job search support and all post-employment requirements.

 

 

Uniting CareBreak Thru and Uniting Care Mental Health have partnered on programmes across Sydney and Central Coast NSW to provide best practice support to people living with poor mental health. A range of innovative pre vocational programmes supporting people on their recovery have been developed enhancing transferable employability skills, providing tailored job search and post placement support as well as strengthening community engagement.

Centacare Break Thru and Centacare have established a range of training and vocational programmes to support the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and developed a refugee specific transferable employability skills and vocational readiness programme “Triple C – Cairns Careers for CALD”. Break Thru actively support Centacare as leaders of Partners in Recovery across Far North Queensland.

Break Thru partners with Australian Network on Disability to promote the inclusion of people with disability within all levels of business. We work together to develop the confidence and knowledge of employers as well as developing the skills and networks of people with disability to enter the workforce.

Opportunity HubsBreak Thru is a consortium member of the Opportunity Hub Campbelltown. Providing Disability Employment Services, Break Thru is working to provide Aboriginal young people with the confidence and knowledge to follow a supported pathway between secondary school and further education/ employment. Opportunity Hubs are part of Opportunity, Choice, Healing, Responsibility, Empowerment (OCHRE), the NSW Government’s plan for Aboriginal affairs.
