The course contains two distinct modules:

• Effective selling skills - including overcoming selling reluctance, creating correspondence and fliers that work, making appointments by telephone,

understanding prospective employers, negotiating with employers, understanding buyers, closing the deal and building long term relationships. The strategies are appropriate to successfully negotiating with employers of all sizes and in different industries. It is also focused on promoting individual jobseekers to employers.

• Applying marketing functions in ways that convert into jobs for individuals - including using the media to obtain cost free publicity and how to run promotional events and campaigns.
